WHAT TO WEAR

AHHH so glad you’re here! I am so thankful you took time out of your day to stop by. Whether it is for an engagement, couples session or a portrait session I want you to feel confident and ready!

The number one question I get: “What do I/we wear?”

Don’t worry friends, I got your back! During your session you’re going to want to feel comfortable, confident, and content. These are the main things I’d want to feel if I was standing in front of the camera. Pick an outfit that fits your style + your body! You don’t want materials clinging in the wrong places or a constant wedgie (yup I went there)!

Come COMFORTABLE

& READY to have fun!

These are your photos that you’re going to look at for as long as you have them hung up. So pick outfits that make you feel confident and happy to look at! One that is often forgotten is location. You don’t want to clash with the background: example wearing greens to a park or field, Blues and whites to the beach. I always recommend neutrals, earthy tones, staying away from tacky graphic T’s/Logos (unless that’s what the session is focused on, then we’ll rock it). I recommend color coordinating, but try not to be matchy-matchy with one another. Ya know like those vintage corny photos we all now laugh at. Hey it was in style at one point haha. I don’t recommend the typical khakis and white button up style for anyone! Remember I want YOU and your PARTNER to be the main focus in your pictures.

  • It’s always great to bring options if you're unsure of your choices. If your session involves an outfit change, be sure to bring them: 2-3 outfits. I love working with textures and loose fabrics: velvet, lace, fur, silk, etc.

  • Statement pieces are always a top notch idea! They add extra BAAAAM to your photos! Fun prints (not the same as tacky graphics) and designs like cheetah print, biker boots, leather jackets, white sneakers, denim jackets. A hat, glasses, pops of color, earrings, or bracelets are All great ways to add to your photos!

  • I know, I know we’ve discussed a lot. I get it, but DON’T OVERTHINK IT. It’s worth planning for, but not stressing for. Come as you are.

  • Be true to who you are and they will be GREAT!
